As the school was formerly known, was founded in1987. 

The school was re-christened

in April, 2010.

 Having started with only 25 students, the school has over 1050 students on its rolls now and has classes from L.K.G to XII. 

Today, the ABPS is the most sought after school in the twin districts of Palamau and Garhwa, probably two of the most under developed districts of Jharkhand.
